Louise and Lee | Moxhull Hall Hotel || Wedding

Louise and Lee chose to hold their wedding at the stunning Moxhull Hall Hotel, just a couple of minutes from the world famous Belfry.

Moxhull Hall is actually a venue I’ve been to before on many occasions, both photographing weddings for my father Barry James Photography but also many years before as an enthusiastic youngster attending photography training sessions with my father and some of the countrys top photographers. I guess something I’ve been very fortunate with is my solid background within the photography industry and having a basis from which I’ve been able to grow into my own style. From the traditional groundings working with my old man for many years as an associate photographer, then to setting off into my own business, I’ve had a very good setting – and I’ve also got the great advantage of years of traditional, classic and contemporary training and development, which is now interspersed with the modern creative style I have. Documenting weddings is absolutely amazing to be able to do – but throw in a few timeless classical shots and the wedding album becomes something altogether different. And as by second Bellissimo album I know Lou and Lee are going to have a stunning magazine wedding album to look back upon in many years to come.

Moxhull Hall is an absolutely stunning venue to hold a wedding and I was glad glad when Lou and Lee booked me. However, before we set off to Moxhull the day actually started a lot closer to home – about 3 minutes away actually, at Lou’s moms house in Pelsall! But before we get there here are a few shots to set the scene of the beautiful day ahead:

Lee put together a little present bag for Lou with all sorts of little gifts. How cute!

After putting the finishing touches to the make-up and hair it was off to Moxhulls to get ready.

I don’t particularly like moving things around to create false shots of details, and fortunately with these shoes I didn’t have to – and what a great little detail shot it is!

This has to be one of my all-time favourite photos purely for grandads expression – timeless!

Duncan James menswear certainly did a great job with the suits as they always do! James Bednall really does run a fantastic company there, and from personal experience over the years I can always thoroughly recommend him!!

I had the pleasure of working with a great wedding video company on this wedding – ElectraFilms. I got on great with Karrie and John, which considering how tight it was in the bedroom when Lou was getting ready was pretty useful!! It’s great to work with professional outfits and we all had a great time!

That is the face of one very proud dad!

This wedding was the first outing of my new lens – the Nikon 12-24mm f4 G AF-S IF-ED DX Lens – and without it there is no possible way I could have got this shot. I would definitely say it was worth the investment!!

Again the new lens came in perfectly here – what a stunning staircase it is…

I just love how Lou exited the building literally dancing with how happy she was. The feeling and emotion between them was a joy to witness, and it truly makes my job the best job in the world sharing such a special time with my clients…

I left Lou and Lee to enjoy their wedding breakfast and the start of their evening with their friends and family and for a change went back late into the evening – for the fireworks!! Well actually I didn’t, but my old man from Barry James did! Unfortunately Lou and Lee didn’t know about the fireworks until the week before the wedding when I was then already tied up with personal commitments but I think my dad did me proud with these couple of shots to finish!
