Lupus Charity Event Winning Portrait | Himley Hall | Portraits

Back in March we were really happy to support Kate and John Hibbs, whose wedding I photographed last year with their Lupus awareness and fundraising night at the Padma Lounge in Cannock, and along with photographing the night, we also donated the first prize to the raffle – an exclusive family portrait including a canvas wrap for the lucky winner. And yesterday I photographed the lucky winner, George Hurst, along with his lovely family at Himley Hall.

It was great to meet the Hurst family, and to document a moment in their family life, now for them to decide on the enlargement!!

On Sunday Beki asked me if I would take a few family portraits as a surprise for her Gran and Grandad’s 50th Wedding Anniversary that is coming up in March. Of course I said “yes” and so on a bright, frosty morning we all wrapped up and went for a stroll over Clayhanger Common, complete with the dog!!, and captured some beautiful natural portraits of everyone.

The main shots we were looking for were a couple of group shots to put into a frame for a present for Pauline and Malcolm but I couldn’t resist capturing some more natural shots of everyone – especially the kids.

For all the family the photos are online on the client area – but Malcolm and Pauline will have to wait until the 27th Feb to see the photos in the frame!!

Awesome Natural Portraits | Lawson Photography || Portraits

Whilst me and Beki were away in the lakes this week our friend Laura and Pete Lawson from Lawson Photography came up to us on Wednesday and we had a nice relaxed lunch at the beautiful Angel Inn then we wandered down to the lake and we certainly made the most of the last light – well Pete and Laura did :o)

Me and Beki had been wanting some portraits of us for a while and with Pete and Laura being such great friends, and totally awesome photographers, and as we were in our absolute favourite place in the world, it is no wonder that we absolutely love what they have done for us!!

Kanas Family Portrait | Baby Portrait Photography || Portraits

Georgina and Simon have become good friends of mine since I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding at Weston Park back in a very wet July 2007.
Georg and Si were blessed with a gorgeous new addition to the family earlier this year, Tommy O’Connor.

The 1st Novemeber was the first opportunity we’d managed to get together and I went over to their lovely cottage in Penn complete with the camera and got some great shots of the little man.
Here are a few of my favourites – hope you like them. Can’t wait to hear what Georg and Si think of the photos, and can’t wait to get feedback from their family when they receive the custom Christmas Cards :o)

Kat and Gem | Walsall Arboretum || Pre-Wedding Shoot

Katrina and Gemma came to me earlier this year with a view to photographing their wedding and with our relaxed style and a big part placed on having fun and enjoying the day together, we all hit it off really well and I was thrilled when they booked me.
Today we went down to Walsall Arboretum to talk about their wedding next week and to have a great time taking a few fabulous photos too!!

Here are a few of my favourites…the rest are available on my clientarea for anyone who knows the stunning couple!!

We started the afternoon with a few portraits of Kat and Gem then made the most of the weather and went for a walk…

I couldn’t resist using the rustic goal posts being how football crazy Gem is!

I love this little sequence. I simply told them to walk up the field away from me – to which Gem decided to spice things up by tripping Kat up! fantastic!!

I think this sequence shows their characters so well. Gem said ‘can I jump that hedge’ and who was I to say no… What a way to prepare for your wedding in 7 days time – don’t think mom will be happy when she sees the photos!!

Kats expression on this one says it all!!

We had such a great time together today – I cannot wait for Saturday now!!
